## Roll out service changes and new routes

A network restructuring, a new route or a change of timetable means that many drivers must learn new paths and new stops at the same time. My Bus Driver GPS Companion integrates the changes from your updated GTFS and guides every driver on the new routes from the first day of service.

### The challenge: everyone changes at once

On the day a new network or a new route starts, every driver involved has to apply the change, often on several routes. Paper booklets must be reprinted and distributed, briefings organised, and the first days bring their share of hesitations, wrong turns and questions to the control room. Passengers, who are discovering the new network too, expect a reliable service.

### How it works

1. The updated GTFS, with the new routes, stops and timetables, is integrated into the solution.
2. The route paths are matched to the road network and can be checked or redrawn by our team in the administration tool.
3. The devices check for updates every day and download the new version, over the depot Wi-Fi if you wish.
4. Drivers are guided turn by turn on the new routes, with every new stop and its scheduled time on the map.

### Typical situations

- Network restructurings and new route numbering.
- New routes, extensions and new stops.
- Seasonal timetables and school-year changes.
- New contracts or new territories taken over by an operator.

### Drivers prepare with the companion website

The companion website displays every route, stop and turn-by-turn step of the network on an interactive map. Drivers and trainers use it to review the new routes, print them or share them with a link. It always shows the version of the network loaded in the solution, so the same information reaches every driver.

### Benefits for the operator

- A smoother launch of the new network, with every driver guided from the first day.
- Fewer reprints of paper route booklets.
- Fewer calls to the control room and fewer wrong turns during the first weeks.
- A reliable service for passengers while they discover the changes.
